Assassin’s Creed Animated Series In The Works by Netflix Castlevania’s Producer

Netflix Animated series Castlevania which is being produced by Adi Shankar airs this Friday and it seems he’s not quite done yet as he’s taken the role of producing yet another animated Netflix series — Assassin’s Creed.

According to Shankar via Facebook,  Ubisoft contacted him about the project and asked him to make an original story. “I’m happy to let you guys know that I’ve selected my next project!” he said. “I played the first edition of Assassin’s Creed the year I moved to Los Angeles to pursue my dream. At that moment I knew absolutely no one in the industry and could never have imagined that one day Ubisoft would ask me to take the world of Assassin’s Creed and create an original story set in it as an anime series. If anyone tells you not to follow your passion in life they are wrong.”

Aside from Castlevania, Shankar also worked on 2012’s Dredd and has worked on several genre shorts, like the grim and gritty Power/Rangers and the Man Bites Dog-inspired Venom: Truth in Journalism.

Right now, there’s no additional details about this project but there’s a high chance we’ll be getting to see a whole new era and characters. Assassin’s Creed Origins video game comes out October 27th on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. It’ll be set in Egypt Circa 300bc. Be sure to check out our E3 Assassin’s Creed Origins Trailers.
