Deadpool 2 Alongside New Mutants and X-men: Dark Phoenix Get Release dates

20th Century Fox has announced the official release dates for the three X-men movies coming out next year, 2018. Three X-men movies in one year, 2018 is looking good already.

New mutants will be making it debut on April 13, 2018. Afterwards there’s Deadpool 2 which will hit theatres June 1, 2018 and finally X-men: Dark Phoenix, sequel of X-men: Apocalypse will come out November 2, 2018.

Everyone’s favourite Merc with a mouth is back in Deadpool 2 which got a new director by the way,  John Wick’s David Leitch will be directing Deadpool 2 and from his previous work we know he’s going to do a really good job. While we will get to see familiar characters from its prequel Deadpool such as Blind Al, we will also get to see new ones such as Domino played by Atlanta’s Zazie Beetz. Domino who is both a mutant and a deadly mercenary has the ability to give herself good luck during battles and give her enemies bad luck. Also making an appearance is time travelling mutant Cable who will be played by Josh Brolin.

Early this year, during the release of Logan,  a short Deadpool 2 teaser was shown before the beginning of the movie. In case you haven’t seen that, you can check it out above.

New Mutants will be the first of the X-men movies slated for next year’s release to come out. It will be directed by Josh Boone who has hinted that we might get to see mutants such Wolfsbane, Magik, Cannonball, Sunspot and Mirage in it. The storyline of this movie is apparently going to take us to a new set of teenage mutants attending Xavier’s school for gifted youngsters. While the cast of the movie isn’t known yet, there are ongoing rumours that Game Of Thrones Maisie Williams will have a role in it alongside Nat Wolff and Taylor Joy.

X-men: Dark Phoenix is going to be an adaptation of the comic “The Dark Phoenix saga” which was written by Chris Claremont and will focus on Jean Grey played by Game Of Thrones Sophie Turner and her transformation to the dark Phoenix. In 2006’s X-men: The last stand, we got to see a bit of this story which fans weren’t really satisfied with but with this upcoming movie, we’ll get to see much more. Previous characters from X-men: Apocalypse will be returning such as Tye Sheridan’s Cyclops and Alexandra Shipp’s Storm.
