Friday the 13th: The Game is a brutal asymmetrical horror game in which players take on either the role of serial killer Jason Voorhees trying to kill every camper in the most brutal ways imaginable before they escape or the role of the campers trying to escape the camp before getting killed. A new trailer was released for it which you can watch above.
It started out as a kickstarter project and after a year and a half, we now have a release date. Originally scheduled for release last fall, the date had to be pushed forward to 2017, May 26th to be exact so additional features can be included.
At launch, it’ll be a multi-player only game with no single player mode but later on, Developer IllFonic will release a single player update which can be played offline as well. The game is going to come with three maps which are: Camp Crystal lake, Higgins Haven and Packanack Lodge.
Friday the 13th game will be available on PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One on May 26th but only for the digital version which will be priced at $40.
