Krypton: Syfy’s series about Superman’s homeworld gets first trailer

With many upcoming DC movies, a new DC show has been brought to light which is titled Krypton. If you’ve ever wondered how life was on krypton before its destruction, then you should definitely check it out. You can check out the trailer at

“Syfy’s Krypton, the much-anticipated Superman prequel set two generations before the destruction of the legendary Man of Steel’s home planet, will follow Superman’s grandfather–whose House of El was ostracized and shamed–as he fights to redeem his family’s honor and save his beloved world from chaos.”

Upcoming actor Cameron Cuffe plays the role of Seg-El( Superman’s grandfather) alongside famous characters such as Georgina Campbell playing the role of Lyta Zod, Ian McElhinney playing the role of Val-El and Ann Ogbomo as Alura Zod.

The series is being directed by Davis S Goyer who is no newbie in the DC world as he co-wrote Superman v Batman, Man of steel and other DC movies. According to Bill McGoldrick, Executive Vice president, scripted content,NBC Universal cable Entertainment : “Krypton is one of the most iconic stories in the comic book universe. In the talented hands of David S. Goyer and the DC Entertainment/Warner Horizon Television team, this exciting Syfy project will take viewers back to Superman’s home to show how the timeless legend began.”


The series is expected to air this 2017.
