Overwatch will be getting a new character and her name is Orisa but she won’t be available in the full game just yet, just the Public Test Realm (PTR) for now.
She will be coming into the game later this March according to Overwatch game director Jeff Kaplan who in a post stated ” Just to clarify, we’re leaving Orisa on the PTR for a little while, We’re getting great feedback and fixing a lot of issues.”
He also stated “I know this feels a little longer than other PTR periods, but we think it will be for the better. We know how anxious you all are to have Orisa join your ranks… and she will soon… but most likely she will go live later in the month rather than this early.”
Orisa is a tank class character who attacks at long range using both a graviton charge launcher and a gun. She can also supercharge teammates using her ultimate and can defend her teammates using a protective barrier. She was built from the scraps of out of service OR15 defense robots by 11 years old Efi Oladele.
